ASK Present at Cartes Show 2009, November 17-19, Paris to Showcase Enhanced Product Portfolio
Sophia-Antipolis, November 3, 2009–ASK, a member of Cartes show Steering Committee, will showcase new contactless products developed by the three business lines of the company. Its presence at the exhibition will be enhanced through partnerships and on site demonstrations.
New products to address an evolving market
The Terminals business line team has lately unveiled LoGO, a cost-effective USB home and business desktop reader to issue and reload contactless smart cards compliant with all 13.56 Mhz standards. LoGO meets the growing demand for online services and will be showcased through two clients’ online platforms on ASK booth. They will be based on the latest dual interface card, TanGo4EMV which combines an EMV contact/contactless MasterCard application and a Calypso transport application on the same chip.
TwinSet is the latest product of the Identity business line team, a convergence of short-range (HF) and long-range (UHF) characteristics on the same contactless card, for secure access control and eGovernment applications. ASK expertise in HF and UHF products have been brought together to optimize both features.
ASK is part of Nice Future Campus, the consortium1 selected by the French Minister of Industry to develop NFC services on mobile phones for Nice University Campus students. Nice, the capital of the French Riviera is the first city of France to be willing to deploy NFC projects on a wide scale. ASK Transport/Banking business line team will develop an add-on to for non-NFC cell phones.
Partnership showcases
ASK Weneo, the contactless USB key developed by Neowave, will allow all Congress attendees and delegates to access the conference rooms, the VIP club and the conference workshops over the 3 days of Cartes show. Weneo has been electrically personalized by ASK.
To enhance ASK contactless paper ticket portfolio, ASK and ST Microelectronics partner to promote C.ticket® with ST SRT512B chips and SRI2K. Samples are available on ST and ASK booths.
ASK references include now YTV, the newly founded Helsinki Metropolitan Area Council. Helsinki selected ASK’s contactless microprocessor cards based on Mifare DESFire chips and C.ticket® for their Automatic Fare Collection, a sub-part of an overall global transportation policy to be implemented in the coming years.
